B&B Bloom Settimo Cielo

Overview

Bloom Settimo Cielo is an elegant boutique B&B set in Venice’s historic centre, just a short walk from many of the city’s most famous sights, including St. Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge, Palazzo Grassi and Teatro La Fenice.

The rooms blend classic Venetian style with contemporary design, creating a refined and comfortable space to return to after a day exploring the city. Breakfast is served each morning in an elegant dining room, while the real highlight is the rooftop terrace - offering breathtaking views across the Venetian rooftops and a wonderfully peaceful spot to take in the magic of the city.

The Lemonstays Way

  • Character over corporate, always.

Carefully selected, independent first, and always good value.

  • Design without the price tag

Independent, design-led and chosen on purpose.

  • Independent first

If it’s here, it’s because it feels thoughtful, well run and fairly priced.

  • Small collection

We only include stays we would genuinely recommend to friends.

The Owners

Owner Alessandra Vazzoler has infused Bloom Settimo Cielo with her personal touch, making each room unique in style and colour. Her love of Venetian décor is evident throughout, with traditional damasks and floral-fabric wall coverings blending seamlessly with exposed brickwork and wooden beams, creating a contemporary loft-style feel.

The B&B’s manager and local resident, Anthony, oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay. Incredibly warm and welcoming, he shares insider tips and local recommendations that go far beyond the usual tourist guide.

Why we love it

Roof Terrace: We loved, loved, loved the roof terrace- it felt so special. Sitting there with a complimentary glass of prosecco, watching the sun set over Campo Santo Stefano and Venice’s rooftops, spires, and towers, was magical. Most of the time we had it all to ourselves, which made it feel intimate and might I say a little romantic.

Location: The B&B is perfectly placed in the heart of Venice’s San Marco neighbourhood. Everything we wanted to see, St Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge, Accademia Galleries, was just a short walk away. By day the piazza buzzes with cafés and cicchetti bars, but by night it’s wonderfully peaceful, making it the perfect base to explore the city and then come back to a cosy, retreat.

The Setting

The B&B sits on the edge of the impressive Campo Santo Stefano in Venice’s San Marco neighbourhood. It’s the ideal location for exploring on foot: a five-minute walk takes you to the Accademia Gallery across the Grand Canal, while St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge are around 10 minutes away.

By day, the piazza buzzes with cafés, restaurants, and cicchetti bars serving Venetian tapas, yet it quiets down in the evening, making for a peaceful night’s sleep.

For getting around further afield, there are convenient vaporetto stops at Accademia, Sant’Angelo, and San Samuele, offering easy connections to the railway station and airport.

The details that matter

- Rooftop terrace
- Central city location, with famous sights and restaurants on doorstep
- Breakfast included
- Easy links to airport and train station

Food & Drink

Breakfast is served each morning in the elegant dining room, where guests can enjoy a continental buffet brimming with tasty pastries, cakes, muffins, toast, granola, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cured meats, and cheese.

The highlight for us was the top-floor roof terrace. The fridge is stocked with prosecco, and you can help yourself to a complimentary bottle (or two) while taking in the beautiful views of the Venetian rooftops.

For lunch and dinner, Venice’s cafés, pizzerias, and restaurants are all within walking distance. Whilst your here, make sure you try classic venetian dishes like cicchetti and their classic squid ink pasta. The B&B’s manager, Anthony, is happy to offer his food recommendations, and we’ve shared some of our favourites in the ‘Our Notes’ section.

Our Notes (tips)

Check-In & Local Tips:
Check in at the sister property, Locanda Fiorita, just a short walk away. The friendly manager Anthony will show you to your room. Make sure you ask him for recommendations as he's full of local knowledge.

Getting Around Venice:
While gondolas are iconic, we’d skip the over-priced tourist rides. Most will be within walking distance, however if travelling further afield, use the Vaporetto (water bus) or a Motoscafo (water taxi) to get around.

Roof Terrace:
The roof terrace was a real highlight for us. Pour yourself a glass of complimentary prosecco and take in panoramic views over Campo Santo Stefano and the rooftops, spires, and towers of Venice-it feels very magical.

Day Trips:
Head out to the Venetian Lagoon islands for a change of pace. Burano is famous for its rainbow-colored houses and lace-making, while nearby Torcello offers a serene escape with ancient churches and Byzantine mosaics. Locanda Cipriani is an amazing spot for lunch in a beautiful setting. Take Vaporetto Line 12 from Fondamente Nove to Burano (around 45 minutes) and Line 9 to Torcello (5 minutes). When walking back to the hotel from Fondamente Nove, pop into Rétro Wine Bar, which has an amazing 20/30s vibe, jazz music and a phenomenal wines and cocktail list!

Local Spots:
Rio della Misericordia is a peaceful canal in the Cannaregio district, running from the historic Ghetto area to Strada Nova. Lined with beautiful old buildings, local wine bars, and restaurants, it’s one of those places that still feels authentically Venetian. Many locals live here, so it has a more relaxed, neighbourhood feel compared to the busier parts of the city. Stop at Bacareto da ea Neni for a spritz and some tasty cicchetti, or try Ristorante Levante for Venice’s classic squid ink pasta. That said, part of the joy is simply wandering along the canal and popping into whichever spot catches your eye.

Campo Santo Stefano:
Just beside the hotel, Campo Santo Stefano is a bustling square that's an ideal spot for sitting with a spritz, people watching, and taking in the impressive architecture. It’s framed by stunning historic buildings like Palazzo Pisani, the 14th-century Church of Santo Stefano, and the nearby Church of San Vidal, which often hosts classical music concerts-something that’s on our list for next time. It's a more relaxed, spacious alternative to the more touristy squares but equally as lovely.

Best Time to Visit:
For a quieter experience, aim for spring or autumn. The weather is still beautifully sunny, slightly cooler, and the city is far less crowded than in peak summer.
